Matt Stiles built a 20 foot Bangor Packet rowing wherry, designed by Joel White, cold moulded with a ply deck and 2'1" beam.  An exception was made to the 'no boats over 14 foot rule' for Matt because there was space in the workshop and he would finish the build during the course.

Matt used 1.5mm sapele veneers, two layers diagonal and the final layer fore and aft, spiled to simulate carvel planking and bright finished throughout. 

Matt, the youngest student on the course, is going to row her and wants to build more wherries.
