16' Motorboat - Lars Herfeldt Lars decided to build a 16' cold moulded motorboat of a style referred to as a 'Gentleman's Runabout' - a term coined in the 1930's. It is constructed from two layers of 3mm plywood with a final layer of mahogany veneers, laid fore and aft to simulate more traditional carvel construction. It is based on a 1925 design by popular Swedish designer C.G. Petterson.
