Furniture Making Tutor Vacancy

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated furniture maker who is confident teaching in a busy and demanding workshop environment.

You will be responsible for leading three 12-week Furniture Making courses a year as well as a programme of 2 to 5 day woodworking short courses.

All courses are taught in the Academy’s dedicated furniture making workshop.

Though teaching experience is beneficial, you must be of a professional furniture making background and be able to demonstrate a high level of skill and knowledge.

Alongside day-to-day teaching duties, you will work closely with both the Principal and Training Manager in the development and planning of the courses.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) – 08:30-17:30, Monday to Friday.

You will start on a part-time contract for an initial shadowing period in August before transitioning to teaching full-time in mid-September. Salary dependent on experience.
